Our commitment to society
The Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation contributes to the prevention of poverty by helping to create conditions that will enable all young people living in Québec to develop their full potential. In so doing, the Foundation is responding to priorities that have been continually reaffirmed by Québec society. Because we are a philanthropic organization, we recognize that our resources are for collective use, and that we are responsible and accountable for our actions and the consequences of those actions. We believe that our contribution should complement, not replace, the essential and legitimate role of government.
